ZyXEL iStackingTM is a Web-based
management software, which allows an administrator
to remotely manage multiple switches located
in different areas. With ZyXEL iStackingTM technology
already embedded in a Dimension switch, an
administrator can configure, monitor, troubleshoot
and manage up to 8 Dimension switches (24 in
the future) at once with only one single IP,
regardless of the physical location.
Compared to traditional stacking technology,
ZyXEL iStackingTM is more efficient
and flexible, and saves cost as well as administrator
effort. Traditional stacking requires switches
to be in the same closet and requires additional
stacking module hardware, thus taking lots
of time and effort to configure and manage.
ZyXEL iStackingTM is not limited
to a single stack of switches and expands the
traditional cluster domain beyond a single
location. Administrators can remotely and centrally
manage Dimension switches with minimal effort.
