VoIP Analog Telephone Adapter
ZyXEL's Prestige 2002 is an Ethernet to traditional
phone adaptor, which provides customers an
easy-to-use solution for Voice over IP service
deployment.
By connecting to the Prestige's POTS phone
port, the traditional phone set becomes an
IP phone device. It allows customers to place
VoIP call without a PC.
Base on industry open standard- SIP (Session
Initiation Protocol, RFC 3261) call control
protocol and sophisticated voice compression
technology, the Prestige offers smooth IP-based
voice communication with superb sound quality.
It is an ideal solution for IP Telephony service
deployment, also a suitable device for SOHO
and Home VoIP application.

Multiple SIP and Multiple Voice Channel
Based on ZyXEL's flexible VoIP technology
platform, it allows users to configure
more than one SIP phone number on Prestige
2002 ATA. Each SIP phone number can be
freely assigned to one or both phone ports.
If one telephone is in using, users can
still use another one to place a call.
Besides, users can still answer the incoming
call on another phone even one SIP number
is in using.
Cost Effective
The Prestige 2002 turns a traditional phone
to an IP phone device cost effectively.
It helps to deliver low per-port cost VoIP
service. More, the built-in two-port Ethernet
switch allows user to connect their PC
to the reserved Ethernet port without adding
an extra Ethernet switch hub.
Lifeline Support (Option, P2002L)
The Prestige 2002L allows users to keep
the PSTN phone service and VoIP service
at the same time. When ATA power down happens
or the VoIP service is not available, the
outgoing phone call will be relay to PSTN
automatically. When VoIP service is in
using, users can place a call to PSTN by
dialing pre-fix numbers. More, emergency
calls or important calls can be relayed
to PSTN automatically.
